Actually, I _would_ let the teacher know. This is something that she will probably see more than once in her career and its helpful for her to know that not EVERYbody makes a big deal over their kids’ b-days and that we are becoming a mobile phone culture.
OTOH, you should make sure your kids know their street address and you and your husbands’ full names.
Knowing one of your cell phone numbers is probably a good idea too.
MM learned our phone number by writing it 10 times on a marker board.
