Married with Children Mondays
Sigh. Chris hasn’t been gone a whole day and already I miss him.
(Okay, I know I promised less sappiness before but tough, you’re stuck with it.)
Anyway, I was thinking about how things are so much harder without him. And not just the stuff that you’d think. The good stuff, too. Sometimes the best time to have him around are when the girls do the cutest things.
And I just can’t even imagine raising the girls without Chris.
So, with props to single moms everywhere (who I admire more than I can say), today’s top ten is my list of things that I couldn’t imagine doing for the rest of my life with the girls and without Chris.
1. Picking apples in the orchard.
2. Changing both girls when there are two poopy diapers.
3. Listening to Katie singing “Mr. Bojangles” at the top of her lungs while dancing on the sofa.
4. Bath time.
5. Shopping for groceries – when both of them want to ride in the cart.
6. Watching Katie give Amy a big hug (and a kiss!) just before bedtime.
7. Playing hide and seek - and boy do I really mean this… Have you ever played hide and seek with a three year old? About a 100 times?
8. Vacationing in Maine.
9. Dinner.
10. Going to the park to play on the swings.
