I’m Not Bad, I’m Just Drawn That Way.
In case you haven’t noted from my prior posts, I am a little obsessed with “The Amazing Race” on CBS. In my opinion, it’s the only reality show on TV worth watching. Yeah, even better than “Dancing With the Stars”…
At any rate, it is a goal of mine to get on that show. Unfortunately for me, I’ve had an annoying tendency to be pregnant each time that the auditions roll around. True to form, auditions for the show will be held in Philly on Friday. I am pregnant and the show will be filmed around my delivery date. Darn the luck!
My neighbor, who is also an amazingly talented artist (you may remember that he painted my daughter’s room), suggested that pregnancy could be my “in” to get on the show. Don’t I wish. I would so do it if they’d let me. I’m sure that there is some legal mumbo jumbo about not having pregnant women sprint across the world that would prevent CBS from choosing me. Leave it to the lawyers to screw it up, no?
At any rate, my neighbor decided this would make a pretty nifty cartoon. So, we made it into his weekly contribution to Philadelphia Weekly. Yep, that’s us in the lower left hand corner…
And yes, I would totally name my baby “Phil” - girl or boy - if they let me on the damn show!
