I’m cooler than my mom thinks I am (or so I tell myself)

May 17, 2007

Katie’s Spring Concert ("it’s not a spring concert, mom, it’s a singing concert") is tonight.  The primaries are over.  Tax season has rolled on.  My life should finally calm down (whew) and then I’ll be back to blogging as normal.

In the interim, I’ll leave you with this conversation from last night.  The context is that I was really excited because I have been able to interview a number of the presidential candidates for my tax blog (hooray) and had, on yesterday, interviewed Governor Huckabee by phone and spoken with Senator Edwards’ people about an interview.  So, I was really stoked.

So I call my mom and this was our conversation:

"Hey Mom!  So, who is the coolest tax attorney in the world?"

To which Mom replies, in her very Southern accent, with no hint of sarcasm or joking, "Well, I only know one tax attorney and that’s you so I guess I have to say you."

Thanks Mom.

Blog series begins here, by the way…
