Clouds in the sky.

November 2, 2006

I wrote Katie’s teacher a note today to let her know that if Katie was a bit out of sorts, it was because her father is on a business trip to Germany.  She does not cope well when Chris travels.  Sure enough, Katie was "melancholy" as her teacher put it, midway through the day.  The teacher asked Katie if her dad was in Germany and Katie said yes.  The teacher then asked Katie to teach the class some German.  She taught them "butterfly" and "cat."  They’re also going to send a class email to Chris in Germany next week.  Greene Street Friends rocks.

It was otherwise a stressful day.  I’ll leave out the gory details but Chris almost had to cancel, last minute, for the trip.  I was freaking out, he was irritated.  Amy and Charlie were still sickly.

It all worked out and Chris hopped his plane this afternoon.  I miss him already.  I know it’s silly but I do.

So pardon my mopey-ness.

(PS – the post below sounds like it was written on yesterday but shows as today because it was 1am, sorry)

“I miss him already. I know it’s silly but I do.”

It’s not silly. And Katie’s teacher sounds awesome.
