I’ve been asked a number of times why I’m not updating lawmummy so much anymore.
I could give you a million excuses, many of which are true, about how busy I am.
But it comes down to this… As lawmummy became popular, I lost my anonymity. And that meant that it wasn’t as easy for me to speak from the heart. I was constantly worried about how things would be interpreted. I found that it was hard to write about what was really going on in my life. The thing is, I got to the point where it was easier to talk about other people (like Britney Spears) than it was to talk about me - which isn’t why I started the blog at all. Now, I find that I can’t be honest and talk about how I’m feeling about anything without stirring up conversations that I don’t want to have. I can’t talk about the kids or work or my family without a cast of thousands being involved. I can’t post about just having a bad day. And lately, I’ve been having a string of bad days. So, for a bit, I’m calling it quits.
Don’t forget about me. I’ll be back. Someday.

This site is really cool:

I keep staring at the screen, thinking that I need to catch everyone up. There’s a lot in my head but it’s tempered with three weeks of constant vomiting, crying and mystery infections.
Someday. Hopefully soon.
For the last two weeks, there have been:
- 2 children vomiting
- 1 ear infection
- 1 continuous episode of really nasty diarrhea resulting in diaper rash; and
- 1 child sleeping over at the CHOP sleep lab because she wakes up throughout the night.
And if you consider yourself pretty adept at math, you’re thinking that there are only 3 children but more than 3 ailments. You would be correct.
And just for fun, throw in:
- 2 adults with what is likely bronchitis; and
-1 adult vomiting.
Fun at my house, no?
